A way out of the crisis through academics
Hello everyone,
Following the failed visit of the President of the Republic on 23 May 2024, who apparently thought he would reiterate the Matignon agreements in the manner of Michel Rocard in a few hours, and in view of the impossible agreement of local elected officials on a possible political agreement for a rapid end to the crisis, the APROFED association is proposing to the President of the Government of New Caledonia, Louis MAPOU, to adopt an Italian-style solution, namely to call upon the “world of experts” and thus appoint a college of university researchers from the UNC with a view to drafting this agreement and then submitting it directly to the population by referendum.
