a “differentiated autonomy” for the Italian regions
The party of the head of government, Fratelli d’Italia, was decisive in the Senate’s adoption of a reform that will strip the central state of many prerogatives and grant them to the regions.
The President of the Council thus supports the reform promoted by her allies in the League, which provides for “differentiated autonomy” for the regions. They will be able to negotiate with the central government the granting of numerous powers, from taxation to education to environmental protection.
