Federalism: a mode of governance demanded by many populations and states
Hello everyone,
In addition to solution no. 2 proposed by the association, which aims to promote federalism at the level of the Pacific States with a view to establishing a “United States of Oceania” (see without France – APROFED ), a large number of States today across the world are considering adopting this new mode of governance, abandoning the Jacobin, unitary, French-style state which currently governs them.
This is particularly the case for example for Chad, Cameroon and even Guinea in Africa, for which you can find recent articles on this subject below:

This thinking is also found in Europe, particularly in Italy and Spain.

If federalism is considered at the state level, within a state itself, it is also considered at the supranational level, that is to say a state bringing together several current states.
This is particularly the case with UNASUR in South America (see Union of South American Nations – Wikipedia (wikipedia.org) ) or even the West African federal project (see West African Federal Project | Movement for the creation of the Guinean Union (wordpress.com) ) without forgetting federal Europe with the desire to transform the European Union into a single European State, it is still necessary that the retrograde nationalist movements stop opposing it and that the former colonial and imperialist powers stop hindering these initiatives as was the case with pan-Arabism (see Federating peoples: the example of pan-Arabism – Le Taurillon ) although international organizations such as the Arab League remain (see Federalisms of the Arab world – Le Taurillon )
We invite you to read some very interesting articles by Ronan Blaise from 2008 on the Taurillon.org website, which takes us on a world tour of federalisms, the links to which we have provided below:

We even learn that there is a federal project in China (see Federalizing China – Le Taurillon ).
We wish you a good read and remind you that federalism is the only solution to reconcile unity in diversity.
